Martin and Briar’s wedding weekend came with some uncertainty in terms of weather, but that did not stop these two from laughing and enjoying the moments leading up to their wedding ceremony.
Tent weddings can add some additional stresses or unknowns, but with much preparation and detailed organization, this wedding couldn’t have gone smoother. Of course, a lot of thanks goes out to Briar’s Mom, Marilyn, who is such a wonderful mother to her cubs.
Martin and Briar hosted their intimate wedding at a friend’s private property. Nestled under a beautiful willow tree next to green pastures, they couldn’t have picked a better backdrop.
I appreciated the personal touch as they incorporated some of Martin’s family culture into their ceremony with the log-cutting ceremony. Any personalization adds a uniqueness to the wedding.
Following their romantic I Do’s, guests gathered together under the clear canvas tent to celebrate Martin and Briar’s nuptials. The tent had beautiful accents of greens and burgundy throughout, with floral runners draped across the tables, all sewn by Briar’s aunt and grandmother. Guests experienced a little taste of Italy as each table had bread, oils and dips for their enjoyment. But perhaps it was the ice cream cart by Charley B’s that might have been the cherry on top!
At the end of the day, as I was driving away, I noticed that it was raining. Interestingly, it wasn’t raining at the property; it appeared that the rain was skirting around it. I’d say that is pretty special blessing if any!
Thank you Martin and Briar (..and Marilyn) for entrusting me with the details of your special day. I thoroughly enjoyed your laid back approach (I probably enjoyed it more than your Mom may have!) as we planned out your wedding. May the two of you always find reasons for laughter and joy as you face all the seasons of life. Wishing you two all the best! ~ Sharon
Thank you to all the talent that brought this event together…
